Acheron River

Acheron River is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters, and its name has been associated with Greek mythology. Indeed, its natural beauty and tranquility inspired the ancient Greeks, who considered the river to be the gate to the Underworld and believed that Hermes delivered the human souls there.

In reality, however, the so-called “river of sorrow” is a site that daily attracts numerous people. Very close to the river lies Acheron necromancy, while the natural environment is ideal for unforgettable outdoor activities such as rafting, kayaking or even horseback riding. Those even more adventurous can swim in the waters of the river. Beware though, the water is extremely cold during most months of the year!
